Hi Experts,
My SME tool keeps loading when I try to view the details of a document model, I still can open the workspace but can’t load my own data in the file. This seems to be happen with the huge model (>100kb) . I tried to close the session and re-open but it doesn’t work. Could you give me some clues what can be the root cause?
Thanks
Hi @huyen-gentle-brush,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention. What version of the SME are you using? This is shown in the top right hand corner of the SME next to the blue information icon. For the 2022.02 release it should start with a 7.
It would also be helpful to know which operating system you are working on.
Hi @malcolm-silver-ice,
I’m working in <PROJECT_NAME> project and we’re using the 7.1.5 one on Windows OS.
Attached here is a screenshot for your consideration.
Thanks @katerina-blazing-ember for your suggestion, but it seems like those are different issues.
I tried deleting some of the fields in the model in order to reduce the size then it can be opened, so I suspect it’s because the size of the file.
I spoke to @huyen-gentle-brush and the problem is more complex than the SME struggling with large file sizes.
We tested the SME by opening the e-commerce installer workspace and we were able to click through all the document models without any problems. A number of these models are larger than the models in this workspace which is causing problems.
This issue may be a migration issue as the models were originally modeled using an older version of A12.
Hi @huyen-gentle-brush,
I’m sorry that neither @marcus-sharp-fjord , @katerina-blazing-ember or myself could help you. I have created an internal ticket to look into this problem in more detail.
This issue has been investigated and the root cause of the problem was found to be labels contain a trailing space.
This is not supported and results in an error when trying to validate the model when it is opened. If these spaces are removed, the model can be processed in the SME without any problems. A workaround to fix these models is to remove these spaces in the json file.
