JSON parse error for every exception

Hello @alicia-secure-haze , thanks for your post within A12 discourse! We’ve forwarded your request to our Data Services team. As they are currently very busy, there may be delays in processing. We apologize for this and hope to be able to provide an answer in a timely manner.

Your discourse team

I have reviewed over 200 DS tickets within the specified versions and identified only two potentially related tickets (A12S-5127, A12S-5507). Upon further analysis, it appears these tickets do not account for the behavior you are experiencing. Additionally, no similar issues have been reported by other projects. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate why your specific use case is not functioning as expected.

To assist in diagnosing the issue, please provide the following:

  • The model you are using

  • The relevant data set

  • The exact request that triggers the JSON parse error

A “JSON parse error” occurs when a request to the /rpc endpoint is invalid. In the provided screenshot, only a response is visible, and there is no request shown. Please copy the request here for further analysis. The response alone is insufficient because request deserialization has failed. Debugging can be enabled for the parser, but since it relies on a third-party library, the output may be excessively verbose.

If a failing request is available, we can identify the cause of the error. My assumption is that after encountering a failure during saving, the construction of the subsequent RPC request fails, resulting in an incomplete request being sent. Once we review the problematic request, we can pinpoint the code responsible for creating it and offer guidance on improving error handling. These changes will most likely need to be implemented on the client side, as the server cannot process incomplete requests.

Hello @alicia-secure-haze, I am a member of the Discourse team. I can see that there was a new response to your question on JSON parse error for every exception. Do you find it helpful, or should the question remain open?

Thanks ahead for your feedback and have a nice rest of the day!
