Suppose we have an application with employees and projects. The projects can be either active or not. How do I create an employee form and have a drop down selection or a dual pane that only displays the active projects?
I read in previous threads that this was supposed to be an upcoming feature. Is it possible in 2025.06-ext2?

The Query API does indeed enable your project to only load the “active” projects. At the time of writing, 2025.06-ext2, this would involve customizing parts of the Relationship Engine. I think that the relevant documentation is here.
We do have the option as modelers to reference a Query Model in an Overview Model. This option (and the Query Model that it uses) is new and experimental in 2025.06-ext2. It shows you what will soon be possible though as you can model a “standard” Overview with a base query. For example, a list of all “active” projects.
The modeling option to reference a Query Model for an Overview Model used in a Binding has been requested in A12-17900 and is tentatively planned for 2025.06-ext4.
