Additonal link document in CDM

Hi, Is it possible to add additional link DM in CDM? I want to display form for additional document model in CDM Form.

Additional link is currently not supported in a CDM Form. However, we has already has a ticket to support it, (A12-13385: Support way to enter additional link fields right away in CDM). Please add your project into the interest project list on the ticket.

@tri-sheer-boulder is right, there isn’t the same functionality when working with Additional Link DMs in a CDM context compared to the normal context.

As these Additional Link Fields might be important for Computation or Validation Rules, the Fields from the Additional Link DM are either modeled on

  • DetailScreen of the Binding
  • CDM Child Activity

The documentation describes how you can do this, here.

As we mentioned in the Modeling Release Presentation last week, the “advanced” Workspace has, in the 2024.06-ext2 release, been updated to include CDM examples. You can see the modeling of Additional Link Fields on the CDM Child Activity by looking at

  • TeamMemberEmployeeWithContracts_CDM and _CFM
  • TeamMemberFreelancerWithContracts_CDM and _CFM

In the “Teams with Persons” module, you start by modifying the TeamWithPersonsAndContracts Document and then use Child Activities to add Employees or Freelancers with the appropriate Additional Link Fields.
